Glow Up Mirror ("we", "us", or "our") is developed by Othmane Zaidy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. By using Glow Up Mirror, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Selfie Photos & Face Data: When you use the scoring feature, you take a selfie photo within the app. This photo contains face data (facial features, skin characteristics) that is sent to our secure server (Supabase Edge Function), which forwards it to Groq AI (groq.com) for skin and beauty analysis.
• Skin Analysis Data: The AI-generated results from your selfie analysis, including scores for skin clarity, radiance, texture, symmetry, and other beauty metrics.
• Streak and Activity Data: Your daily check-in streaks, routine completions, supplement tracking, and engagement history.
• Cycle Tracking Data: If you choose to use the cycle tracker feature, we collect menstrual cycle dates and related wellness data you voluntarily provide.
• Account Information: Your email address and profile information provided during sign-up via Supabase Authentication.
• Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription status managed through RevenueCat for in-app purchases.
• Device and Usage Data: Anonymous analytics and advertising identifiers collected by Google AdMob for serving personalized or non-personalized ads.

3. How Your Selfie Photos Are Processed

When you take a selfie for analysis, the following occurs:

1. Your photo is captured locally on your device.
2. The photo is resized to a maximum of 512 pixels and encoded as Base64.
3. The photo is securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS to our backend server (hosted on Supabase Edge Functions).
4. Our server sends the photo to Groq AI (groq.com) using the Meta Llama vision model for processing.
5. The AI service processes the image to generate skin and beauty scoring data.
6. The analysis results are returned to you within the app.
7. The photo is NOT permanently stored on Groq AI's servers after processing.

Important: By using the selfie analysis feature, you acknowledge and consent to your photos and face data being sent to Groq AI (groq.com) for processing. We do not sell your photos or face data to any third party.

4. Face Data Collection and Use

Glow Up Mirror collects and processes face data as a core part of its functionality.

What Face Data We Collect

• Facial photographs (selfies) taken within the app.
• AI-derived facial analysis data including skin clarity scores, radiance metrics, texture analysis, symmetry measurements, and overall beauty scores.

How We Use Face Data

• To generate your daily Glow Score and skin analysis.
• To compare your current selfie with previous selfies and track progress over time.
• To provide personalized skincare recommendations based on your skin characteristics.
• To power the Skin Diagnosis feature which identifies skin type and concerns.

Face Data Sharing

• Your face data is shared ONLY with Groq AI (groq.com) for the sole purpose of generating your analysis results.
• We do NOT sell, rent, or share your face data with any other third parties.
• We do NOT use your face data for advertising or marketing purposes.
• We do NOT use facial recognition or identity verification.

Face Data Storage and Retention

• Selfie photos sent to Groq AI are processed in real-time and are NOT permanently stored by Groq.
• Your selfie images may be stored in your account on our servers (Supabase) to enable progress tracking.
• AI-generated scores and analysis results are stored in your account history.
• All stored face data is retained only as long as your account is active.

Face Data Deletion

• You may delete your account and all associated face data at any time from the Profile screen in the app.
• Upon account deletion, all selfie photos, scores, analysis results, and profile data are permanently removed from our servers.
• You may also contact us at 3ouutmane@gmail.com to request deletion of your face data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Provides authentication, database storage, file storage, and serverless backend functions.
• Groq AI (groq.com): Receives your selfie photos (Base64-encoded, max 512px) via encrypted HTTPS for real-time AI vision analysis using the Meta Llama model. Groq does NOT permanently store your photos. Groq's privacy policy: groq.com/privacy-policy.
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions and purchase verification.
• Google AdMob: Serves advertisements within the app. May collect device identifiers and usage data for ad targeting.

6. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the app's core features, including AI-powered skin analysis.
• Generate personalized glow scores and beauty recommendations.
• Track your skincare routines, streaks, and progress over time.
• Manage your subscription and provide premium features.
• Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob.
• Improve the app experience and fix issues.

7. Data Retention

Your selfie photos are transmitted for analysis and are not permanently stored on Groq AI's servers. Your data is retained as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen in the app.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data transmission uses encryption (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Glow Up Mirror is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access your personal data, request correction, request deletion, withdraw consent, and request a portable copy. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date.
